I love to paint and I love the islands of British Columbia. My art work is reflective of my surroundings and my joy of every day events here on Quadra Island. I also run a B&B and host painting workshops taught by visiting guest artists. Creativity means living creatively to me.
I grew up in New Jersey suburbs, got my BA in Arts & Crafts and their history and moved to Hornby Island and then Quadra Island. After 32 years here I am still amazed at the beauty that surrounds me here. I was a studio potter for 15 years then had to make changes due to a bad case of chronic tendinitis in my wrists and arthritis in my back and neck. I finally decided to retrain and earned my Tourism and Hospitality degree where I found most pleasure in designing brochures for imaginary fancy resorts--so I went back to school to learn graphic design and brush up on my painting and drawing skills. (All puns intended). Now make time to paint and invite others to my studio for classes, workshops and drop in sessions.
Please see my website for more details. I hope you will like my paintings and photos so much you will want to visit or take a workshop in my studio.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
